Last update before we go to feature freeze. Our '27 roadmap is already looking very full with some great new stuff, but before we go here's what is new. No new features will be added to Midsummer until August 12th, 2026. Only bugfixes and alignment issues will be pushed.

  • UI - Upgraded to Angular 22 and Shifted the UI to a sidebar-approach for better usability on mobile and better use of screen real estate.
  • UI - Standardized layouts as much as I could across all displays so formatting and padding is more uniform. This is an ongoing task.
  • API - Added a basic read API at /api/v2026-01/ for technical users to interact with Midsummer data. You can create API keys in Event Admin.
  • Technical - Improved Subdomain Detection to eliminate a lot of false positive misconfiguration errors.
  • Register - Users can now self-upgrade and self-edit based on configurable limits. Can also be fully enabled or disabled in register settings.
  • Register - Staff can now trigger asynchronous upgrades in the Register Details modal at check-in. Shows a QR for the user to scan or a link to be e-mailed or sent to the end user to complete payment and upgrade.
  • Vendors - Added a basic excel export for vendor information
  • Schedule - Added a basic excel export for schedule/panel information
  • Schedule - Added a block diagram excel export of the schedule timeslots in Schedule Editor
  • Staff - Added a staff clock-in/out kiosk type that allows you to track Staff Hours by badge number or membership ID. Also displays upcoming shifts from the shift scheduler if configured.
  • Staff - Added Department Pinning between events so new events can keep the same department and permission structures.
  • Shop - Made the form builder actually build forms.
  • Tenant - Improved subdomain assignment and management
  • Tenant - Improved event creation and Stripe API Key Management
  • Bugfix - Fixed small issue with signature pad creating extra lines when going outside the draw zone.
  • Bugfix - Improved password reset template engine to not send malformed URLs.
  • Bugfix - Fixed several dropdowns not being appended to Body causing them to cut off.
