We released bug fixes a few days ago, but since then features finished shipping faster than expected, so we're here with a major release.

In a nutshell:

• Register - Added forwarding to registration, currently a template from another convention, will be instantiating variables and config for it soon.
• Register - (!!) Search bar for check-in will now search all fields and return suggested results for other forms in-line with current form results. When you click adjacent-form results, it will switch you to that form and open the attendee record.
• Staff - Added some quality of life features to Shift Scheduling for schedulers and staff. Open Shifts will now warn you if you are about to claim a shift that overlaps with your already assigned schedule. Shift Schedulers view has been expanded for readability, and you can now copy complete days worth of shifts into other days.
• Staff - In shift scheduling, you can now allow for Bids on Shifts. Staff members can click-to-bid on a shift and then leadership can select from those requests who to put on that shift.
• General - If a user is a staff member, a popup will appear to set their display name for general usability purposes. It can be dismissed, but will appear next session until they set it.
• General - Status has been added to the footer, you can see the status of the system at https://status.midsummer.cloud/
• General - A saved addresses book has been added to a new dropdown called Account Settings. From there, you can manage your display name and add/edit/remove addresses to autofill from in forms as a user.
• General - Members now have a Membership ID visible in Account Settings. This will be used later for things like check-in systems and other planned features.

Important Note about Upcoming Feature Freeze

We will be in a feature freeze from July 1st, 2026 to August 15th, 2026. Only bug fixes and at-time changes will be made to Midsummer during that time.
